Yellow Iris

The yellow iris is blooming.

This makes me happy.

  1. Daffodils are thought to be a sign of spring, but they can lie. Iris, however, are certain. Is your yellow iris fragrant?

    1. I don't know if it's fragrant, but when I get home in the morning I'll certainly check. :)

    1. I love them too. I have some little purple ones in the front yard; these yellow ones are about 3 feet tall. My mom has some red ones that are gorgeous and she says they need to be divided, so I'm hoping she'll give me some.

  3. Those are beautiful! We have a bunch of pink/purple/orange bearded irises. I'm not such a fan of the color, but they grow incredibly vigorously, so I keep dividing them and filling various flowerbeds with them temporarily until I finish the exterior restoration on the house and can justify more permanent landscaping.
